The Charlottesville Democratic Committee must nominate three persons to the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court and provide a letter of recommendation for our preferred nominee. The election at our meeting will determine the three names that the Charlottesville Democratic Committee will recommend for the appointment and will identify our preferred nominee. Nominees cannot be employed by the Federal Government, the Commonwealth of Virginia or by the City of Charlottesville; they also cannot be family members of Charlottesville elected officials, candidates or chair of a political party committee.
