This race, and only this race, will use ranked-choice voting for the first time in Charlottesville. Rather than voting for just one candidate by filling in a circle, you’ll rank each candidate as either your first, second, or third choice. Your preferred candidate will be ranked #1, your second preferred candidate as #2, and your third preferred candidate as #3… and the top two candidates win.
