This June voters will use ranked-choice voting to select candidates in the City Council primary. The League of Women Voters and Ranked Choice Virginia are offering several dates to learn about this new method of voting, starting March 27 at 5:30pm at the Carver Recreation Center classroom. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, a case that could determine whether the government can block Medicaid patients from accessing care at Planned Parenthood. Let’s rally at the Court! Three special elections were held on Jan. 7 for two VA Senate seats and one House of Delegates seat. In all three cases the party that previously held the seats retained them, so the Dems retained overall control of both chambers.

There’s a special election for John McGuire’s empty State Senate 10th District seat. The Democratic candidate is Jack Trammell, and the campaign will soon have postcards to be sent.
