How Can I Become a Charlottesville Delegate at the Caucus? April 15th Deadline!

Posted on March 29, 2024

[4/15/2024— 5pm today is the deadline to apply to be a Delegate!]

Every Presidential election year, Democrats in each city and county must meet in a Caucus to elect Delegates to attend both the Congressional District Convention(s) and the State Convention and help elect Virginia’s delegation to the National Democratic Convention in August. The Charlottesville Democratic Committee (Cville Dems) calls and runs the Caucus, which is open to every Democrat registered to vote in the City of Charlottesville.

This year, Charlottesville Democrats need to elect 14 Delegates and 3 alternates to the 5th Congressional District Democratic Convention and to the DPVA State Convention.

Some frequently asked questions about this process are answered here… check it out!

Talking Points for Democrats About President Biden

Posted on March 29, 2024

A smiling President Joe Biden at a podium waves to an assembled crowd in the US Capitol.

Watch and repost/distribute the new ads for President Biden’s campaign. He quickly lists his areas of focus and accomplishment, with his humor close by, and it’s good to keep them in mind: https://x.com/MeidasTouch/status/1766485444873666741?s=20

Here’s a second ad (“Are you better off than you were in early 2020?) released by the Biden campaign: https://x.com/Victorshi2020/status/1770863794090287493?s=20

For more in-depth discussions, especially on particular topics as Democrats see them, this synopsis from Biden’s January 2024 State of the Union (SOTU) address may help, click here.
